Registering to Bid:
Buyers must be registered with Lampi Online to participate in any of our online auctions. To register, select the 'Register' link displayed on any of the auction detail pages or select the 'Register' button on the navigation panel. After you complete the registration form and submit it you will receive a verification email from Lampi Online. This verification email will contain your bidder number and selected password. You may now use this bidding number and password to bid and buy at Lampi Online.

Before You Bid:
Select the auction in which you would like to participate and click on the link for that auction. Each auction has different Terms & Conditions, be sure to read and understand them before you bid. When you bid, you are agreeing to the all the terms & conditions for that particular auction. You can now browse the items being offered by selecting a specific category or by selecting 'ALL ITEMS.'

Placing a Bid:
After you have read, understand, and agree to the Terms & Conditions of the auction of interest, you can place a bid. There are two places to enter your bid: (1) 'Your Bid' and (2) 'Your Maximum.'

There are two ways to participate in bidding at Lampi Online.

• 1. As a bidder, you can use the "YOUR BID" area. If you use this option to enter a bid, the amount in the 'Your Bid' box on the item you are bidding on will increase to the amount of the amount you entered.
  
  • Example: You have found an item you wish to bid on and the current price is $500. You would like to place a bid of $1000 on this item. You enter $1000 in the 'Your Bid' area, enter your bidders number and password at the bottom of the page, then push the 'Submit Bids' button. You will then have a chance to review your bid to make sure everything is correct, and then either push 'Submit Bids' or 'Cancel Bids'. Once you have submitted your bid the current price will increase from $500 to $1000. At this point you are the high bidder and done. If someone outbids you, you will receive an email letting you know you have been outbid. You may bid again, and again and again using this method, if you desire.
    
• 2. Another option would be to use the 'Your Maximum' box. If you enter a bid amount in the 'Your Bid' and the 'Your Maximum,' the current bid amount of the item you are bidding on will increase to the 'Your Bid' amount you entered (as detailed above) but the system will also use an automatic bidding system to bid on your behalf, if you are outbid by other bidders up to the amount you entered in the 'Your Maximum' box.
  
  • Example: You have found an item you wish to bid on. Its current price is $500. You would like to place a maximum bid of $1000 on this item. You should enter $550 (or more) in the 'Your Bid' area and $1000 in the 'Your Maximum' area, enter your bidder's number and your password at the bottom of the page, then push the 'Submit Bids' button. You will then have a chance to review your bid to make sure everything is correct, and then either push 'Submit Bids' or 'Cancel Bids'. Once you have clicked on 'Submit Bids,' your bid will be entered and the current price will increase from $500 to $550. At this point you are the high bidder and done. If, later, someone outbids you, the system will automatically bid for you and bid the minimum amount needed to keep you as the high bidder to your specified $1000 maximum. If someone outbids 'Your Maximum' amount you will receive an email letting you know you have been outbid. You may bid again, if you desire, following the exact same procedures as described.
    

The automatic bidding system keeps your maximum bid amount confidential and does not allow the system to bid any higher than your maximum. You can also pay significantly less than your "maximum bid" because the automatic bidding system only bids enough to keep you the high bidder on each particular item. By using the "Your Maximum" option the system automatically bids on your behalf--and in your absence. This means you don't have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. It is much more convenient, less time-consuming, and it greatly improves your chances of winning!

'Review Bids' Button is used for bidders that have previously entered bids. To use this feature enter your bidder number and password then click the 'Review Bids' button. The program will then display all you're "My Maximum" and/or regular bids thus far submitted under your bidder number.
